Wesley George

Today Wesley George leads the Facilities Estate Management Company Limited (FEMCoL), as General Manager. Prior to this role, he led the Business Develop team as Manager at the Solid Waste Management Company Limited (SWMCOL), with responsibility for the development of the company’s
portfolio of business lines. He oversaw SWMCOL’s increased development and expansion effort in new
markets, both domestically and internationally.


Before joining SWMCOL in July 2016, Wesley served as Manager of Projects at DOVER Waterproofing
Technologies, where he was instrumental in improving the company’s operational efficiency. Wesley
was responsible for the management of several signature projects such as the insulation and
waterproofing of several secondary schools with new technology that DOVER was pioneering at the
time.


While at the Ministry of Health, serving as a Parliamentary Secretary, Wesley gave oversight to the
ministry’s Public Sector Investment Program (PSIP) projects. He worked closely with all stakeholders to
deliver the St. Joseph and Siparia District Health Facilities and significantly advanced the Scarborough
Hospital project in Tobago.

 

In addition to his 16+ years of professional experience, ranging from insurance and retail sales to policy
planning and execution at the highest level within state enterprises and government, Wesley has over
25 years of volunteer service with both church and community groups. He was also a columnist with the
Trinidad Guardian.


Wesley holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of the West Indies, a
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems and Management from the University of London and is also
P.M.P certified.
